Featuring as the headline band at the Breathe/Respira Brazil event held in Itacare in May, the German Reggea/fusion group Jamaram joined the 10-day event for the opening concert. During their week trip to Bahia, Brazil, they produced and filmed the Music Video for "Carried Away feat. Corres do Tambo" from their latest album Jameleon.
Jamaram's music range of upbeat and contagious rhythms and soulful, poignant ballads is a true reflection of the band members themselves, most of whom live together in Munich, Germany, and share common interests of music, climbing and static line. Their involvement with Breathe/Respira Brazil transpired eight months earlier when organizers were made aware of another music clip made while on a Goethe Institute visit to Uganda, called "Out my Window" produced by Bani Silva and Hernan Vilchez from KaboPro, recognized documentary producers who joined the group on this trip.
Makers of Power Cultures, an amazing series of voyages to remote countries&cultures around the globe, the KaboPro crew followed Jamaram capturing the the vibe and feel of Bahia State capital, Salvador, and the sights and sounds of the peoples of the Atlantic Rainforest in and around Itacare with special performance by renown drum group Cores do Tambo. The resulting music clip provides a reflection of a cultural journey to the area and a taste of Jamaram's participation in the event.
