Jamaram Confirms Breathe Opening Night Concert

Rock/Ska/Reggae fusion band, Jamaram, with support from Condor Airlines have confirmed they will kick off the Breathe/Respira Brazil, playing as the headline act at the opening concert on Monday the 15th of May, in Itacaré, Brazil. Currently in rehearsal for the Release Tour of their fourth studio album, Jamaram's eight man crew including trumpets, saxophone, percussion, drums, guitar, bass, synthesizer and vocals create an infectious, crowd pleasing, dance orientated vibe - a perfect match for samba crazy Brazilians and international visitors alike.
Condor Airlines cemented the deal when they took on the cost of airline flights, but Jamaram's involvement with the event is not simply as a musical act, but one more of musical ambassadors. A roll they have a great deal of experience in through some of their past activities.
The track released from their last album, "Out my Window", was filmed almost exclusively in Uganda while they were conducting music workshops for under privileged kids on a tour through Uganda and Kenya for the Goethe Institute, a German Cultural exchange Organization.
Jamaram, amongst other things, is famous for putting a donation box out into the crowd at all of the 140 gig's they do each year, using the money collected to build schools in the Townships of South Africa. Their participation will be as much to do with working with local kids and musicians as their opening performance itself.
The Breathe Foundation is stoked to have Jamaram at the Opening Concert for Breathe/Respira Brazil, and are looking forward to having the whole band on site to work with local kids leading up to the event.
