Tucked into the jungle, an Oasis on top of a hill, a mere 5 minute drive from downtown Itacaré overlooking the Contas river mouth and the Atlantic Ocean, Art Jungle provides the best that Itacaré has to offer adding an artistic flair to boot. Powered by solar panels and it's own spring, their restaurant propose a rare culinary experience made from organic products, seafood, Indian spices and germinated seeds with therapeutic virtues and food values little known. Located in the jungle overlooking town just off the road heading to Ilhéus, the Itacare Surf Camp is a free standing house providing double rooms with two cabanas optional. A remarkable setting no more than 10 minutes from downtown, it has everything to make your stay in the area exceptional. Buddy's Pousada Guesthouse – www.buddysitacare.com

A little more rustic, but right in the centre of town just off the main street, Buddy's Pousada and Guesthouse is close to Concha Beach and all of the nightlife that Itacaré has to offer. The communal area, the cornerstone of any good guesthouse, comes equipped with hammocks, a small bar, which looks suspiciously like a fridge, a kitchen for you to cook in, places to sit, all surrounded by our leafy garden and BBQ area. Other mod-cons you will probably not get a lot of time to uses are TV's and Internet connection....

Buddy's offers everything from dorm beds to double, triple and quadruple bed rooms. The price to stay is $10USD per night per person.

When all else fails... the Tourist Office!

Rooms in the Recommended Hotels are almost sure to fill up quickly on a first come, first serve basis, so our suggestion is to get in fast. If these options are full or you simply want to check out the other available accommodation if these don't fit your needs, a quick visit to www.itacare.com will give you an extensive range of options from the high end Eco Village and Eco Resort right down to hostels and everything in between. May is generally considered low season in Itacaré, so finding accommodation that fits your needs at a price you can afford should not be a major issue....

O Pharol Hostel has an excellent location, in the main square, 5 blocks from the bus station, 2 blocks from Concha Beach and 12 mins walking from Tiririca Beach...
